The Northwest Jaguars basketball team scored 38 points and held the visiting Springbrook Blue Devils to 28 in the Jaguars non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Jaguars now sport a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Seneca Valley for a Montgomery County - 4A West contest on Friday, February 2. Northwest will battle a Screamin' Eagles team coming off a 84-27 non-league win over Northwood (Silver Spring, MD). The Screamin' Eagles record now stands at 11-3.

The Blue Devils (2-12) will now prepare for their contest against Paint Branch (Burtonsville, MD). The Panthers enter the Montgomery County - 4A East contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, Paint Branch was defeated by Bethesda-Chevy Chase (Bethesda, MD), 48-33, in a non-league contest.
