Oregon High School Basketball - Pine Eagle nudges Pilot Rock
January 30, 2024: Pilot Rock, OR 97868 Pine Eagle Spartans (Halfway, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pilot Rock Rockets (Pilot Rock, OR), 36-29 in a league bout.
With the win, Pine Eagle upgrades its record to 6-15 on the season. The Spartans travel to Wallowa (Wallowa, OR) to clash with the Cougars in a 1A Old Oregon bout on Friday, February 2. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 14-8. Wallowa won 50-9 in their recent league bout against Cove (Cove, OR)
Next up, the Rockets clash with the Ione/Arlington Cardinals (Ione, OR) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Pilot Rock will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 43-36 league loss to South Wasco County (Maupin, OR).
