January 30, 2024: Charlottesville, VA 22902 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) and the visiting Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA), saw Monticello's basketball squad overcome Louisa County by a tally of 58-44.
With the victory, Monticello improves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA) to confront the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 4-9. Albemarle won 45-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA)
Next up, the Lions confront the Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 2. Louisa County will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The Fighting Hornets come into the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 38-21 league win over Goochland (Goochland, VA).
