January 30, 2024: New Port Richey, FL 34655 The Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL) basketball smashed the visiting Cardinal Mooney Cougars (Sarasota, FL), 62-38 in Tuesday's non-league contest.
The Mustangs now sport a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sunlake for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 31. Mitchell will battle a Seahawks team coming off a 62-47 non-league loss to Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate (Tampa, FL). The Seahawks record now stands at 3-7.
The Cougars (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Sarasota (Sarasota, FL). The Sailors enter the non-league contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Sarasota triumphed over Riverview Sarasota (Sarasota, FL), 50-37, in a league contest.
