Piper Bengals (Sunrise, FL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Stoneman Douglas Eagles (Parkland, FL), 52-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Piper upgrades its record to 14-1 on the campaign.

Next up, the Eagles play the Taravella Trojans (Coral Springs, FL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Stoneman Douglas will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 49-48 non-league win over Boyd Anderson (Lauderdale Lakes, FL).
