In Thursday's non-league test, the Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM) basketball squad defeated the visiting Hope Christian Huskies (Albuquerque, NM), by a final score of 62-51.

Next, the Elks/Elkettes clash with the Moriarty Pintos (Moriarty, NM) in a 4A District 2 test, on Saturday, February 1. Pojoaque Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Pintos come into the test with a 7-12 record after their 73-38 non-league loss to Portales (Portales, NM).
