New Mexico High School Basketball - Legacy Academy triumphant over Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy
January 30, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87121 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Legacy Academy Silverbacks (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy Eagles (Albuquerque, NM), observed Legacy Academy's basketball team overwhelm Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy by a score of 72-23.
The Silverbacks (14-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Jemez Valley (Jemez Pueblo, NM). The Warrior come into the 2A District 2 challenge with a 1-15 record. In their last challenge, Jemez Valley was routed by Oak Grove Classical Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 72-36, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles encounter the McCurdy Bobcats (Espanola, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 1. Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-15 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 39-37 league win over Mora (Mora, NM).
