In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Mt. Zion Prep Academy Warriors basketball team scored a close 60-56 triumph over the Veritas Academy Titans.

The Warriors (18-3) will now prepare for their contest against Sidwell Friends (Washington, DC). The Quakers go into the non-league contest with a 14-4 record. In their last contest, Sidwell Friends nipped St. Andrew's Episcopal (Potomac, MD), 62-52, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Titans confront the Brewster Academy National Bobcats (Wolfeboro, NH) in a Nike Elite contest, on Saturday, February 1. Veritas Academy will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record.
