January 30, 2025: Alta, IA 95678 The Gehlen Catholic Jays (Le Mars, IA) basketball toppled the host Alta-Aurelia Warriors (Alta, IA), 58-50 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Jays now possess a 7-10 record. They play next when they host St. Mary's for a War Eagle bout on Friday, January 31. Gehlen Catholic will play a Hawks team coming off a 74-47 league loss to Hinton (Hinton, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 9-8.
With the loss, Alta-Aurelia falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Warriors host Northwest Webster (Manson, IA) to play the Cougars in a Twin Lakes bout on Friday, January 31. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 6-11. Northwest Webster lost 60-50 in their recent league bout against East Sac County (Lake View, IA)
