Chancellor Chargers (Fredericksburg, VA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Courtland Cougars (Spotsylvania, VA), 43-42 in a league match.

With the victory, Chancellor advances its record to 10-3 on the year. The Chargers travel to James Monroe (Fredericksburg, VA) to face the Yellow Jackets in a non-league match on Friday, January 31. The Yellow Jackets enter the match with a record of 6-5. James Monroe won 36-29 in their recent non-league match against Caroline (Milford, VA)

The Cougars now own a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Culpeper County for a match on Friday, January 31. Courtland will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 46-37 non-league loss to Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-9.
