Virginia High School Basketball - Nelson County victorious over Monticello
January 30, 2025: Charlottesville, VA 22902 In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Nelson County Governors basketball team scored a good 53-39 triumph over the Monticello Mustangs.
The Governors (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA). The Raiders go into the non-league contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Appomattox County prevailed over Altavista (Altavista, VA), 37-34, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Mustangs encounter the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Monticello will attempt to improve on its 12-4 season record. The Flying Flucos come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 60-18 non-league win over Orange County (Orange, VA).
