North Dakota High School Basketball - Hettinger/Scranton can't hold off Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart]
January 31, 2022: Hettinger, ND 58639 The Hettinger/Scranton Black Devils basketball team (Hettinger, ND), was nudged 60-55 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] Cougars (Belfield, ND)
The Cougars now possess a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bowman County co-op [Bowman/Rhame] for a B Region 7 battle on Thursday, February 3. Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 67-48 non-league win over Lemmon (Lemmon, SD). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-3.
The Black Devils (7-5) will now prepare for their battle against Beach (Beach, ND). The Buccaneers come into the B Region 7 battle with a 7-3 record. In their last battle, Beach edged Mott-Regent (Mott, ND), 59-56, in a league battle.
