The St. Johns Redwings tipped the visiting Alma Panthers basketball team by a final score of 51-49 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Redwings face the Mason Bulldogs (Mason, MI) in a Capital Area - Red game, on Thursday, February 2. St. Johns will attempt to move on its 9-4 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 12-2 record after their 64-52 non-league win over Western (Parma, MI).

With the defeat, Alma moves to 8-5 on the year. The Panthers host Garber (Essexville, MI) to face the Dukes in a Tri-Valley - East game on Friday, February 3. The Dukes enter the game with a record of 9-4. Garber won 64-28 in their recent non-league game against Ogemaw Heights (West Branch, MI)
