January 31, 2023: Augusta, KS 67010 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Augusta Orioles (Augusta, KS) and the visiting Wellington Crusaders (Wellington, KS), saw Augusta's basketball squad hold off Wellington by a tally of 57-51.
With the victory, Augusta improves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Orioles host Andale (Andale, KS) to play the Indians in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 3. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. Andale won 76-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Winfield (Winfield, KS)
Next up, the Crusaders play the Circle Thunderbirds (Towanda, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 3. Wellington will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a 13-1 record after their 62-55 non-league win over El Dorado (El Dorado, KS).
