Wisconsin High School Basketball - Chippewa Falls edges Wausau West
January 31, 2023: Wausau, WI 54401 The Chippewa Falls Cardinals (Chippewa Falls, WI) basketball nipped the host Wausau West Warriors (Wausau, WI), 63-56 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Cardinals (7-9) will now prepare for their test against Rice Lake (Rice Lake, WI). The Warriors go into the Big Rivers test with a 13-5 record. In their last test, Rice Lake got by Menomonie (Menomonie, WI), 74-67, in a league test.
The Warriors now own a 5-12 record. They play next when they travel to Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln for a Wisconsin Valley test on Friday, February 3. Wausau West will encounter a Red Raiders squad coming off a 58-47 league loss to Marshfield (Marshfield, WI). The Red Raiders record now stands at 5-11.
