Michigan High School Basketball - River Valley nips Countryside Academy
January 31, 2023: Three Oaks, MI 49128 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the River Valley Mustangs (Three Oaks, MI) and the visiting Countryside Academy Cougar (Benton Harbor, MI), saw River Valley's basketball squad hold off Countryside Academy by a tally of 78-72.
With the victory, River Valley improves its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Lake Michigan Catholic (St. Joseph, MI) to play the Lakers in a Berrien-Cass-St. Joseph - White challenge on Friday, February 3. The Lakers come into the challenge with a record of 4-8. Lake Michigan Catholic lost 67-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Berrien Springs (Berrien Springs, MI)
Next up, the Cougar play the Covert Bulldogs (Covert, MI) in a Berrien-Cass-St. Joseph - White challenge, on Friday, February 3. Countryside Academy will attempt to improve on its 7-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 77-49 league loss to River Valley (Three Oaks, MI).
