Richfield Spartans (Richfield, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Fridley Tigers (Fridley, MN), 71-69 in a league bout.

With the win, Richfield upgrades its record to 7-13 on the season. The Spartans travel to Robbinsdale Cooper (New Hope, MN) to play the Hawks in a AAAA Section 6 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 9-5.

Next up, the Tigers play the Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks (New Hope, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Fridley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 80-53 non-league loss to DeLaSalle (Minneapolis, MN).
