Ohio High School Basketball - Waynesville nips Miami Trace
January 31, 2023: Washington Courthouse, OH 43160 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Waynesville Spartans (Waynesville, OH) and the host Miami Trace Panthers (Washington Courthouse, OH), saw Waynesville's basketball squad hold off Miami Trace by a tally of 57-55.
With the victory, Waynesville improves its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Monroe (Monroe, OH) to play the Hornets in a Southwestern Buckeye - East challenge on Friday, February 3. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 9-9. Monroe lost 70-61 in their recent non-league challenge against Bishop Fenwick (Franklin, OH)
Next up, the Panthers play the Washington Blue Lions (Washington Courthouse, OH) in a Frontier challenge, on Saturday, February 4. Miami Trace will attempt to improve on its 16-3 season record. The Blue Lions come into the challenge with a 16-4 record after their 73-58 non-league win over Lynchburg-Clay (Lynchburg, OH).
