Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA), 55-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Indian River upgrades its record to 11-7 on the season. The Braves host Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA) to play the Bruins in a Southeastern bout on Friday, February 3. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Western Branch lost 51-46 in their recent league bout against Lakeland (Suffolk, VA)

Next up, the Hawks play the Oscar Smith Tigers (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern bout, on Thursday, February 2. Hickory will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 48-47 league loss to Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA).
