January 31, 2023: Saco, ME 04072 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) and the visiting Massabesic Mustangs (Waterboro, ME), saw Thornton Academy's basketball squad overcome Massabesic by a tally of 42-29.
With the victory, Thornton Academy improves its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Trojans host Edward Little (Auburn, ME) to confront the Red Eddies in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 3. The Red Eddies come into the challenge with a record of 6-9. Edward Little won 53-44 in their recent league challenge against Portland (Portland, ME)
Next up, the Mustangs confront the Cheverus Stags (Portland, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 3. Massabesic will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Stags come into the challenge with a 16-2 record after their 51-43 league win over Oxford Hills (South Paris, ME).
