Maryland High School Basketball - Atholton holds off Oakland Mills
January 31, 2024: Columbia, MD 21045 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Atholton Raiders (Columbia, MD) and the host Oakland Mills Scorpions (Columbia, MD), saw Atholton's basketball squad hold off Oakland Mills by a tally of 47-40.
With the victory, Atholton improves its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to River Hill (Clarksville, MD) to confront the Hawks in a Howard County challenge on Friday, February 2. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 15-1. River Hill won 67-66 in their recent league challenge against Marriotts Ridge (Marriottsville, MD)
Next up, the Scorpions confront the Mt. Hebron Vikings (Ellicott City, MD) in a Howard County challenge, on Friday, February 2. Oakland Mills will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 76-64 league loss to Long Reach (Columbia, MD).
