Kentucky High School Basketball - Mercer County overwhelms Burgin
January 31, 2024: Harrodsburg, KY 40330 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Mercer County Titans (Harrodsburg, KY) and the visiting Burgin Bulldogs (Burgin, KY), saw Mercer County's basketball squad wallop Burgin by a count of 62-33.
With the victory, Mercer County upgrades its record to 14-8 on the campaign. The Titans host Trinity Christian Academy (Lexington, KY) to play the Titans in a District 46 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 13-7. Trinity Christian Academy won 69-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Casey County (Liberty, KY)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Bluegrass United Bluehawks (Lexington, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Burgin will attempt to upgrade on its 4-17 season record. The Bluehawks come into the challenge with a 12-12 record after their 74-70 non-league win over Thomas Nelson (Bardstown, KY).
