Virginia High School Basketball - Langley tops Washington-Liberty
January 31, 2024: McLean, VA 22101 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Langley Saxons (McLean, VA) and the visiting Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA), saw Langley's basketball squad knock off Washington-Liberty by a count of 44-29.
With the victory, Langley upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Saxons host McLean (McLean, VA) to play the Highlanders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. McLean won 48-45 in their recent non-league challenge against George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA)
Next up, the Generals play the Yorktown Patriots (Arlington, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 5. Washington-Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 53-44 non-league win over Herndon (Herndon, VA).
