Maine High School Basketball - Houlton tops Hodgdon
January 31, 2024: Hodgdon, ME 04730 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Houlton Shiretowners (Houlton, ME) and the host Hodgdon Hawks (Hodgdon, ME), saw Houlton's basketball squad knock off Hodgdon by a tally of 45-32.
With the victory, Houlton improves its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Shiretowners host Mount Desert Island (Mount Desert, ME) to play the Trojans in a B North challenge on Saturday, February 3. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 12-5. Mount Desert Island won 66-33 in their recent league challenge against Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME)
Next up, the Hawks play the Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME) in a C North challenge, on Friday, February 2. Hodgdon will attempt to improve on its 14-4 season record. The Owls come into the challenge with a 1-14 record after their 58-10 non-league loss to Wisdom (St. Agatha, ME).
