January 31, 2024: New Laguna, NM 87007 The Jemez Valley Warriors basketball team (Jemez Pueblo, NM), dropped 55-36 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Laguna Acoma Hawks (New Laguna, NM)
The Hawks now possess a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dulce for a 2A District 1 battle on Saturday, February 3. Laguna Acoma will confront a Hawks team coming off a 54-17 non-league win over McCurdy (Espanola, NM). The Hawks record now stands at 11-8.
The Warriors (13-4) will now prepare for their battle against Alamo Navajo (Magdalena, NM). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 11-8 record. In their last battle, Alamo Navajo beat Evangel Christian Academy/Oak Grove Classical Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 30-21, in a non-league battle.
