Illinois High School Basketball - Ellison tops Holy Trinity
January 31, 2024: Chicago, IL 60622 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Ellison Lions (Chicago, IL) and the host Holy Trinity Tigers (Chicago, IL), saw Ellison's basketball squad knock off Holy Trinity by a tally of 50-34.
With the victory, Ellison improves its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Lions host Walther Christian Academy (Melrose Park, IL) to play the Broncos in a challenge on Friday, February 2. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Walther Christian Academy won 54-49 in their recent non-league challenge against College Prep of America (Lombard, IL)
Next up, the Tigers play the Cristo Rey Jesuit Cristeros (Chicago, IL) in a challenge, on Friday, February 2. Holy Trinity will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Cristeros come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 53-19 league loss to Ellison (Chicago, IL).
