January 31, 2024: Texarkana, TX 75501 Gladewater Bears (Gladewater, TX) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Liberty-Eylau Leopards (Texarkana, TX), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Bears face the Tatum Eagles (Tatum, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 2. Gladewater will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 5-0 league loss to Henderson (Henderson, TX).
The Leopards now have a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they host Sulphur Springs for a 4A Region 2 District 13 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. Liberty-Eylau will face a Wildcats team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Mabank (Mabank, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-3.
