Missouri High School Basketball - Atchison succumbs to Lafayette
January 31, 2025: St. Joseph, MO 64505 In Friday's non-league test, the Lafayette Fighting Irish (St. Joseph, MO) basketball squad defeated the visiting Atchison Phoenix (Atchison, KS), by a final score of 73-60.
Next, the Fighting Irish clash with the Cameron Dragons (Cameron, MO) in a Midland Empire test, on Friday, February 7. Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record.
The Phoenix (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Schlagle (Kansas City, KS). The Stallions come into the Meadowlark test with a 5-7 record. In their last test, Schlagle went down by Shawnee Mission North (Shawnee Mission, KS), 68-34, in a non-league test.
