January 31, 2025: Gilbert, IA 50105 The Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) basketball edged the visiting Carlisle Wildcats (Carlisle, IA), 65-60 in Friday's league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 12-5 record. They play next when they travel to Ballard for a Raccoon River bout on Tuesday, February 4. Gilbert will play a Bombers team coming off a 58-55 league win over A-D-M (Adel, IA). The Bombers record now stands at 13-1.
With the loss, Carlisle falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Wildcats host North Polk (Alleman, IA) to play the Comets in a Raccoon River bout on Monday, February 3. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 8-8. North Polk lost 54-48 in their recent league bout against Winterset (Winterset, IA)
