The Fannett Metal basketball squad (Willow Hill, PA), was crushed 75-21 in Friday's league battle with the host McConnellsburg Spartans (McConnellsburg, PA)

With the victory, McConnellsburg advances its record to 16-1 on the year. The Spartans travel to Mount Union (Mount Union, PA) to meet the Trojans in a non-league battle on Monday, February 3. The Trojans enter the battle with a record of 9-10. Mount Union lost 62-33 in their recent non-league battle against West Branch (Morrisdale, PA)

The now own a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hancock for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 4. Fannett Metal will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 54-50 non-league loss to Union (Mount Storm, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 5-6.
