South Dakota High School Basketball - Wakpala fells Flandreau Indian
January 31, 2025: Wakpala, SD 57658 The Wakpala Sioux basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Flandreau Indian Indians to 43 in the Sioux non-league triumph on Friday.
The Sioux now have a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Tiospaye Topa for a non-league game on Saturday, February 1. Wakpala will confront a Thunderhawks team coming off a 71-40 non-league loss to Marty Indian (Marty, SD). The Thunderhawks record now stands at 3-7.
With the loss, Flandreau Indian falls to 0-11 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Tiospa Zina (Agency Village, SD) to confront the Wambdi in a non-league game on Saturday, February 1. The Wambdi go into the game with a record of 0-12. Tiospa Zina lost 80-38 in their recent non-league game against Omaha Nation (Macy, NE)
