Oregon High School Basketball - Forest Grove overwhelms Newberg
January 31, 2025: Forest Grove, OR 97116 The Forest Grove Vikings basketball team scored 72 points and limited the visiting Newberg Tigers to 38 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.
The Vikings now possess a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Sherwood for a 6A Pacific game on Tuesday, February 4. Forest Grove will confront a Bowmen team coming off a 71-66 non-league loss to West Salem (Salem, OR). The Bowmen record now stands at 13-5.
With the loss, Newberg falls to 2-16 on the campaign. The Tigers host Sprague (Salem, OR) to confront the Olympians in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4. The Olympians go into the game with a record of 12-4. Sprague won 86-52 in their recent league game against South Salem (Salem, OR)
