The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Union Tigers (Mount Storm, WV) and the visiting Hancock Panthers (Hancock, MD), observed Union's basketball team edge Hancock by a score of 56-50.

The Tigers (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Highland (Monterey, VA). The Rams come into the non-league challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Highland edged Harman (Harman, WV), 64-40, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers encounter the Fannett Metal (Willow Hill, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Hancock will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The come into the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 75-21 league loss to McConnellsburg (McConnellsburg, PA).
