In Friday's league contest, the visiting Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies basketball team scored a good 56-48 triumph over the Utica Redskins.

The Johnnies (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Zanesville (Zanesville, OH). The Blue Devils go into the Licking County - Buckeye contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Zanesville was topped by Licking Heights (Pataskala, OH), 63-46, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Redskins confront the Licking Valley Panthers (Newark, OH) in a Licking County - Buckeye contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Utica will attempt to better on its 2-13 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 10-6 record after their 52-47 league loss to Granville (Granville, OH).
