The L.W. Higgins Hurricanes basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Riverdale Rebels to 40 in the Hurricanes league triumph on Friday.

The Hurricanes now possess a 4-20 record. They play next when they travel to Livingston Collegiate Academy for a non-league game on Monday, February 3. L.W. Higgins will confront a Wolves team coming off a 56-28 league loss to Kennedy (New Orleans, LA). The Wolves record now stands at 3-17.

With the loss, Riverdale falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to John Ehret (Marrero, LA) to confront the Patriots in a 5A District 10 game on Monday, February 3. The Patriots go into the game with a record of 9-15.
