Mississippi High School Basketball - Lewisburg routed by Bayou Academy
January 31, 2025: Cleveland, MS 38732 Bayou Academy Colts (Cleveland, MS) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Lewisburg Patriots (Olive Branch, MS), 42-20 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Bayou Academy advances its record to 6-12 on the year. The Colts travel to Simpson Academy (Mendenhall, MS) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 4. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 21-6. Simpson Academy won 61-46 in their recent non-league match against Lamar (Meridian, MS)
The Patriots now own a 3-25 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southaven for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 4. Lewisburg will face a Chargers squad coming off a 49-43 league win over DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS). The Chargers record now stands at 16-7.
