Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC) fans went home pleased Friday as they observed their basketball team overwhelm the host North Henderson Knights (Hendersonville, NC), 69-27 in a league challenge.

The Panthers (14-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 6-10 record. In their last challenge, Smoky Mountain was routed by West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC), 63-56, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the East Henderson Eagles (East Flat Rock, NC) in a challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. North Henderson will attempt to improve on its 11-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 8-11 record after their 53-18 league win over Tuscola (Waynesville, NC).
