Bishop McDevitt Royal Lancers (Wyncote, PA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host West Catholic Burrs (Philadelphia, PA), 69-51 in a league bout.
With the victory, Bishop McDevitt upgrades its record to 9-9 on the campaign.
Next up, the Burrs play the Cardinal O'Hara Lions (Springfield, PA) in a Philadelphia Catholic bout, on Monday, February 4. West Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 7-13 record after their 50-43 non-league win over Haverford (Havertown, PA).
