Texas High School Basketball - D'Hanis nips Nueces Canyon
February 1, 2022: Barksdale, TX 78828 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the D'Hanis Cowboys (D'Hanis, TX) and the host Nueces Canyon Panthers (Barksdale, TX), saw D'Hanis's basketball squad hold off Nueces Canyon by a tally of 35-33.
With the victory, D'Hanis improves its record to 18-4 on the campaign. The Cowboys host Utopia (Utopia, TX) to play the Buffaloes in a 1A Region IV District 31 challenge on Monday, February 7. The Buffaloes come into the challenge with a record of 1-17. Utopia lost 67-36 in their recent league challenge against Medina (Medina, TX)
Next up, the Panthers play the Leakey Eagles (Leakey, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 31 challenge, on Friday, February 4. Nueces Canyon will attempt to improve on its 9-15 season record.
