Connecticut High School Basketball - Fitch overwhelms Woodstock Academy
February 1, 2022: Groton, CT 06340 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Fitch Falcons (Groton, CT) and the visiting Woodstock Academy Centaurs (Woodstock, CT), saw Fitch's basketball squad wallop Woodstock Academy by a tally of 71-48.
With the victory, Fitch improves its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to New London (New London, CT) to confront the Whalers in a Eastern Connecticut I challenge on Thursday, February 3. The Whalers go into the test with a record of 9-4. New London lost 74-62 in their recent league test against St. Bernard (Uncasville, CT)
The Centaurs now own a 1-11 record. They play next when they travel to Griswold for a non-league test on Thursday, February 3. Woodstock Academy will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 66-42 non-league win over Lyman Memorial (Lebanon, CT). The Wolverines record now stands at 6-5.
