Texas High School Basketball - Harlingen South overwhelms Rivera
February 1, 2022: Harlingen, TX 78552 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Harlingen South Hawks (Harlingen, TX) and the visiting Rivera Raiders (Brownsville, TX), saw Harlingen South's basketball squad wallop Rivera by a tally of 56-35.
With the victory, Harlingen South improves its record to 19-11 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Weslaco (Weslaco, TX) to confront the Panthers in a 6A Region IV District 32 challenge on Friday, February 4. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 23-9. Weslaco won 59-48 in their recent league challenge against Hanna (Brownsville, TX)
Next up, the Raiders confront the San Benito Greyhounds (San Benito, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 32 challenge, on Friday, February 4. Rivera will attempt to improve on its 10-16 season record. The Greyhounds come into the challenge with a 12-16 record after their 69-40 league win over Donna North (Donna, TX).
