In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Maxwell Wildcats basketball team scored a tight 59-57 triumph over the Perkins County Plainsmen.

In their next game, the Wildcats meet the Wallace Wildcats (Wallace, NE) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 4. Maxwell will attempt to move on its 6-13 season record. The Wildcats enter the game with a 10-7 record after their 77-55 league win over Brady (Brady, NE).
