Mississippi High School Basketball - Noxubee County holds off New Hope
February 1, 2022: Macon, MS 39341 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Noxubee County Tigers (Macon, MS) and the visiting New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS), saw Noxubee County's basketball squad hold off New Hope by a tally of 53-50.
With the victory, Noxubee County improves its record to 14-9 on the campaign. The Tigers host West Point (West Point, MS) to confront the Green Wave in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 3. The Green Wave come into the challenge with a record of 9-9. West Point won 60-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Choctaw County (Ackerman, MS)
Next up, the Trojans confront the West Lowndes Panthers (Columbus, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 3. New Hope will attempt to improve on its 17-4 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 9-11 record after their 84-61 league loss to Okolona (Okolona, MS).
