The R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) basketball were winner over the host Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), 88-72 in Tuesday's league contest.

The Hilltoppers now sport a 18-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chase for a 2A Conference 41 contest on Thursday, February 3. R-S Central will battle a Trojans team coming off a 67-44 league loss to Brevard (Brevard, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 2-14.
