In Wednesday's league match, the visiting Tempe Buffaloes basketball team scored a decisive 68-44 triumph over the Apache Junction Prospectors.

In their next game, the Buffaloes meet the Combs Coyotes (San Tan Valley, AZ) in a non-league match, on Thursday, February 2. Tempe will attempt to move on its 9-15 season record. The Coyotes enter the match with a 13-12 record after their 66-61 league win over Poston Butte (San Tan Valley, AZ).

With the defeat, Apache Junction moves to 2-24 on the year.
