Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Kiski Area can't hold off Gateway
February 1, 2024: Vandergrift, PA 15690 The Kiski Area Cavaliers basketball team (Vandergrift, PA), was nudged 37-36 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Gateway Gators (Monroeville, PA)
The Gators now possess a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Belle Vernon for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 3. Gateway will battle a Leopards team coming off a 75-56 league win over Laurel Highlands (Uniontown, PA). The Leopards record now stands at 11-4.
The Cavaliers (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against McKeesport (McKeesport, PA). The Tigers come into the WPIAL 5A 3 contest with a 4-11 record. In their last contest, McKeesport was nudged by Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA), 57-44, in a league contest.
