Griggs County Central/Midkota Cougars (Cooperstown, ND) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Larimore Polar Bears (Larimore, ND), 50-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Griggs County Central/Midkota upgrades its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Cougars host Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter (Napoleon, ND) to play the Imperials in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Imperials come into the bout with a record of 5-11.
