Imperial Tigers (Imperial, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets (Blythe, CA), 51-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Imperial upgrades its record to 10-15 on the season. The Tigers host Brawley (Brawley, CA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 14-12. Brawley lost 53-40 in their recent league bout against Calipatria (Calipatria, CA)

Next up, the Yellow Jackets play the Southwest EC Eagles (El Centro, CA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Palo Verde Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record.
