The Medora Hornets basketball team (Medora, IN), was nudged 53-47 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting New Washington Mustangs (New Washington, IN)

The Mustangs now possess a 3-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lanesville for a Southern battle on Friday, February 9. New Washington will confront a Eagles team coming off a 59-49 non-league win over Tecumseh (Lynnville, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 3-14.

The Hornets (6-10) will now prepare for their battle against Pleasant View Christian (Montgomery, IN). The Bulldogs come into the Southern Roads battle with a 14-3 record. In their last battle, Pleasant View Christian edged Columbus Christian (Columbus, IN), 60-54, in a league battle.
