New York High School Basketball - Walt Whitman holds off Patchogue-Medford
February 1, 2024: Huntington Station, NY 11746 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Walt Whitman Wildcats (Huntington Station, NY) and the visiting Patchogue-Medford Raiders (Medford, NY), saw Walt Whitman's basketball squad hold off Patchogue-Medford by a tally of 49-44.
With the victory, Walt Whitman improves its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to William Floyd (Mastic Beach, NY) to confront the Colonials in a Section 11 AAA-1 challenge on Saturday, February 3. The Colonials come into the challenge with a record of 5-0. William Floyd won 79-36 in their recent league challenge against Riverhead (Riverhead, NY)
Next up, the Raiders confront the Ward Melville Patriots (East Setauket, NY) in a Section 11 AAA-1 challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Patchogue-Medford will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
